Sweeping
Arpeggios

By
Matthew Mills

This
is a lesson in sweep picking, it is based on the song ‘Arpeggios
Travel’. It is a great excersise in getting the right hand to
properly sweep pick through groups of six. The passages should
be played as a group of triplets first then played as group of
six as it becomes more comfortable at the higher speeds. The idea
is to work both right and left hand out through constant motion.
It becomes a good work out as you increase the speed of the metronome.
